A Taste of Winter

There was a cold front that came through on Thursday night, so on Friday morning I awoke to snow on the hills.  Blue, Bronc and I set off to shift some cows up to Top Airstrip and oh my goodness, it was sooooo beautiful.  Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera, so I have nothing to back up my claims, but it actually moved the soul.

It wasn’t a big fall, maybe only a centimetre or so, but it was enough for one side of the tussocks to be coated and glistening.  Blue skies, bright and warm sun, snow had blown against the wire links in the gate.  Didn’t take much though for a cloud to pass in front of the sun and for it to become very cold and unpleasant!  Yay for hot grips on the 4-wheeler…

  1. Hello Miss Josephine

SOunds cold and fresh and beautiful! How are things down on the farm? I’ve been in Auckland today taking clients out for lunch at a very nice restaurant called the French Cafe. Mains were $42 and they have 10 course degustations!!! One day when we’re the biggest IP firm in the world.

Hope all going well. Say Hi to your Ma and Pa and look after yourself.

    Miss you heaps

    Chris
